La Luna Cigars is a small privately owned boutique cigar company owned by, J.Marta Perez and Gael de Courtivron. J.Marta Perez and I have been producing La Luna Cigars for nearly a decade, first in Miami, and now in the Dominican Republic and Honduras. J.Marta Perez is a 30 year veteran of the cigar industry and is widely recognized as a “ level 7 Grand Master". My backround is a little more diverse, but early on, I developed an affinity for blending cigars. La Luna began producing cigars in Miami in 1996, with the introduction of the popular, “Little Havana Blend”. In the spring of 1999, wanting to experiment with bolder blends requiring better tobaccos, we moved our rolling operation to Marta’s home-town of Danli, Honduras. In the summer of 1999, Marta and I introduced our first full body cigar line, the Maduro Fuerte. The box-pressed, full-body, LLMF was an immediate success. In the fall of 1999, La Luna Cigars moved the rolling operation to Carlos Toraño’s Latin Cigar factory and we introduced our 2nd “Fuerte” line; the extremely popular African Fuerte. In the summer of 2002, La Luna introduced the 3rd “Fuerte” line, the highly acclaimed Natural Fuerte, now completing the “Trilogy Of Fuertes”.

La Luna Cigars was the first nationally distributed brand to use the term, Fuerte, and although many companies have since jumped on the “Fuerte” bandwagon, La Luna Cigars was the creator and originator of the term, Fuertes.

Today, La Luna Cigars is gearing up to reintroduce the highly acclaimed “Trilogy of Fuertes” (fall of 2004). We have also recently reintroduced our very popular, “Little Havana Blend”, now rolled in the Dominican Republic. To round up our cigar portfolio, La Luna Cigars recently introduced our first “suave” line ever, with the “Bean’re Selects”. La Luna Cigars has several new and exciting blends that will be introduced in the near future.

We are very proud of our continually expanding list of devoted La Luna enthusiasts, a list that grows each and every day. La Luna Cigar’s customer base is now represented in all 50 states, as well as several other countries. La Luna Cigar’s popularity is growing by leaps and bounds, as more and more aficionados discover the world of La Luna Cigars.
